Trump’s Department of Justice Ends 2025 with Action Against Sex-Criminals

By Z. E. Kendall

Earlier this year in response to people demanding the truth, government transparency, and justice for victims, Representatives Thomas Massie, Marjorie Taylor Green, and Ro Khanna got legislation passed to compel Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the Epstein files.[1] So, in the middle of December 2025, the Department of Justice released over 10,000 files including images and some documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Much of this information would not have been made public or not made public so quickly if it were not for the efforts of those members of Congress.

Now, on Monday, December 22nd, Ro Khanna mentioned that the DoJ still had not released some of Epstein’s emails, the 60-count draft indictment, and the 82 page prosecution memo.[2] Rep. Thomas Massie has pointed out that the Department of Justice had still not released about 20 names of perpetrators that the victim’s lawyers believe to have been involved in addition to Jeffrey Epstein,[3] and the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche admitted that they were not going to meet the deadline for the release of some of the files as required by the law,[4] and so, people have asked how transparent Attorney General Pam Bondi has been on this issue, but the Department of Justice did release many photos that the FBI took in its investigations of Epstein.

These Epstein photos include images of Bill Gates with young women, Michael Jackson, Bill Clinton, a male dancer in drag (who some people think is Epstein himself), some victims with their faces censored, Epstein’s estates, the risque artwork Epstein owned, the beds he had, the letters to Epstein that the FBI found, and the personal photos that Epstein owned. There was also a room with a dentist’s relining chair and masks hanging on the wall.[5]

Epstein’s artwork was what we might expect from a rich sexually-devious man. Sure, there were ornate artistry on furniture and a ceiling with animal imagery related to the constellations, but he also had artwork like Bill Clinton in a dress, a painting of naked girls swimming, a painting of a naked adult looking in a mirror nearby a severed arm, a painting of a woman falling into the arms of a man (in Autumn leaf colors as a “Fall” season pun), and a painting of several people naked in sexually-suggestive poses.[6]

In the initial release, the Department of Justice heavily redacted or entirely redacted several court documents. This upset a lot of people online, but the DoJ then released a lightly-redacted documents related to the USA v. Epstein[7] and USA v. Ghislaine Maxwell court cases. (Maxwell had helped Epstein to acquire young women and girls.) That Maxwell court document mentioned the grooming, massages, and other activities that Epstein had with some girls as young as 14-years-old.[8]

But the Trump administration with Pam Bondi as AG has gotten the message from their voters that the government should be serious about dealing with sex-crimes. Earlier this month, the Department of Justice made four press releases about different sex-crime cases.

The biggest overlooked update was the completion of Operation Relentless Justice. That was an effort to identity and arrest child sex-predators. According to the Department of Justice, their 56 FBI field offices identified “over 205 child victims” and arrested over a two-week period at least “293 child sexual abuse offenders.”

“We will not allow evil criminals who prey on children to evade justice,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said. “Our federal agents have worked tirelessly alongside our state and local partners to track down these vile predators, and now our prosecutors will ensure they receive severe punishments to match their horrific crimes.” FBI Director Kash Patel then said, “Operation Relentless Justice shows no child will be forgotten.[9]

In another December 2025 update, the Department of Justice announced that it finally got around to filing a civil denaturalization action against marine Nicholas Eshun from Ghana. Eshun was trying to become a U.S. citizen under a rule for U.S. military service members that requires that the military soldier serves honorably for at least five years.

However, after four and a half years in 2016, according to the DoJ, “The U.S. Marine Corps court-martialed and dishonorably discharged Eshun for attempted sexual abuse of someone he believed to be fourteen years old.” An undercover Naval Criminal Investigative Service detective had been communicating with him, posing as the 14-year-old. This happened while Eshun was serving on an overseas base. “Thanks to the intrepid investigators of NCIS, we now know the danger this man poses to this country,” Assistant Attorney General Brett A. Shumate said. “He is no longer serving as a Marine.[10]

The third update was that Donald Ramirez of Salinas, California pleaded guilty “to attempted enticement and coercion of a minor” and to distribution of child-porn. The prosecution had claimed that Donald Ramirez of Salinas, California “used Snapchat to send a 12-year-old girl a photo of his genitals and repeatedly demanded the child create and send him photos of herself engaged in sexually explicit conduct.” Ramirez also plead guilty to using Telegram and Wickr social media to distribute images of naked children, including images “of another female minor whom he had communicated with on Snapchat.” Sentencing will occur in May, 2026, where he is expected to receive at least 10 years in prison. This criminal case happened as part of Project Safe Childhood.[11]

The final update from the Department of Justice was that a court sentenced registered sex offender Scott Lee Dye from Baltimore to 22 and ½ years in prison for using WhatsApp and Kik social media sites in 2022 to entice a minor to have sexual intercourse. Law enforcement also found that Dye had child-porn in his possession. Dye had pleaded guilty on June 16th, 2025.[12] The Kik social media site became popular with teenagers in the USA and Canada in the late 2010s.

So, while the Department of Justice under Pam Bondi and President Trump hasn’t acted as quickly and thoroughly on the Jeffrey Epstein case as many people wanted or as the law demanded, it has nevertheless been serious about opposing sex predators and about reporting updates on sex offender cases.
